Be prepared to need a fan while reading this book. If I had to describe it with one word, it would be HOT! This book is definitely hot and steamy. Consider yourself forewarned.

The only thing I didn't really care for in this story was Zandy's character in the beginning. Her introduction versus her a couple of chapters later and for the rest of the book are night and day. She is presented as reckless and naive. However, the next time we see her, we get the exact opposite for the most part. I got whiplash with the sudden change in her so fast.

Oliver... I am conflicted. We aren't given an age range for him, but we do know he is clearly older than Zandy. With that being said, he seems a little emotionally immature and clinging to his past relationship a little too much. Although this aspect of him is a big part of the story, I did roll my eyes at him a couple of times.

One thing is for sure, I couldn't deny their chemistry and attraction. These two characters are explosive together. No matter my feelings on them separately, their budding relationship just makes sense in this book. Their connection is so apparent, there is no denying their panty-melting heat.

Overall, this book is definitely hot, spicey, steamy, romantic, and heartwarming. It is a perfect combination of all things that should be in a romance book. There was enough balance of all elements, leaving me with a happy ending I was prepared and glad for.

I have picked up a couple of the “Misadventures” series books; mostly because their titles sounded appealing and/or intriguing to me. However; this “Misadventures” title sounded pretty much like a run of the mill trope until I spotted the author’s name at the bottom. Sierra Simone. OMG! What I wouldn’t give to see what Ms. Simone has done with a staid and stuck-up professor!! And, “GOOD GRIEF!” Sierra did it again! She struck gold. This story was incredible!! So NOT what I was expecting, but perfection nonetheless. If you were looking to find something better than the average student/teacher romance - - look no further! Sierra does it with skill and aplomb, plus it’s one freakin’ HAWT story. Thank you, Miss Sierra. Your check is in the mail!
Zandy is in England for the summer to work as a research assistant with a professor friend of her father before she starts graduate school. While planning her trip, she decided to come to London a day early to achieve her goal of losing her virginity. She developed a plan to do so, but things did not go the way she had planned. She ends up running into Oliver, they have chemistry, and they eventually go back to her hotel room and have sex. The next morning she leaves before he wakes up and travels to the countryside to the professor’s home to wait on him to return from a research trip. Fast forward a couple of days and the professor comes home which leads to a big surprise for Zandy and Oliver when they realize who the other person really is. Based on that brief synopsis, it may seem like there’s not going to be much more to this story. But this is a Sierra Simone book, so there are deeper aspects to this story with some scorching hot sex scenes. This book is told in dual POVs. There’s an age gap between Zandy and Oliver and they also engage in a lot of role playing (student/teacher roles) during sex. Zandy is 10 years younger than Oliver and occasionally seems naive, but there are several times that she comes across as more worldly and mature than Oliver. Oliver had experienced a really bad break-up several years ago that resulted in him internalizing a lot of the negative things his ex said to his. This led him to avoid seeking any long-term, serious relationships and he engaged in a lot of self-loathing. During the course of Zandy and Oliver’s relationship, she attempts to show him that he has nothing to be ashamed of and tries to help him accept all aspects of who he is. I did get frustrated with Oliver and the way he handled some of his interactions with Zandy. That’s not a negative thing, just an example of how well Sierra told Zandy and Oliver’s story. When the event occurs that eventually leads to the story climax, I appreciated the way that Zandy approached the situation and how she was able to rationally decide what she wanted to do. Even though it was an emotional decision for her, I loved that she stuck with her plans and didn’t let herself settle for anything less than what she wanted. This book is a fairly quick read with a relatively low angst level. There are plenty of steamy scenes with that special Sierra touch to them. This book had everything that I’ve come to expect from a Sierra Simone book and I enjoyed everything about it.
This story was incredibly hot and super sexy. I love an age gap romance and throw in a teacher/student type relationship, some kink and I am totally sold.

This story delivered on the chemistry! Zandy may have been a novice, but she caught up quick! A great story and a whole lot of sexiness. Loved it!!!
